Blanche d’Alpuget first visited Inala in 1999 due to her interest in Rudolf Steiner. She was convinced Inala was unique, important, and worthy of her support, agreeing to become patron shortly after. Since this time Blanche has been involved in many of our events and we are honoured that she has shown such enthusiasm for and commitment to supporting people living with disability.

Blanche is the author of ten books including seven novels and has won a number of literary awards for both fiction and non-fiction. She took a break of 13 years from writing while establishing a consultancy business with her husband, the late Hon. R J Hawke AC. She is currently working on the final novel of a quartet, The First Plantagenets, about Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine.
