Community tees off to benefit Inala

May 27, 2019

‘It changed my life entirely,’ explained Leighton at our annual Castle Hill Golf Day dinner on Tuesday night. He was in discussion with Martin Porteous, Joint CEO about the difference living in a home at Inala has made to his life.

‘Being part of the community again, like when I was a kid, feels really good. I enjoy knowing my neighbours.

‘The environment at home is really good too. I like having a chat with my friends, and the staff make sure we are able to do what we are interested in.’

It was a frank and heart-warming discussion on the impact the over 130 attendees at the golf day were making in the lives of those living with disability at Inala.

Of course, there was much fun to be had too – it was a glorious autumn day on the green as everyone teed off on one of Sydney’s premier golf courses, Castle Hill Country Club. Friends and supporters of Inala all chipped and putted their way around the course before drinks and dinner as the sun set dusky pink behind the tall gum trees.

We are pleased to announce that due to the generosity of all involved, we were able to raise nearly $50 000 toward Inala’s Accommodation Appeal.

This is a significant contribution toward our goal of raising $4.5 million to build two purpose-designed homes that will provide opportunities for individuals living with disability to create a life of their own.

Congratulations to our winners on the day!
