Inala Annual General Meeting

Dec 7, 2022

On November 29th the Inala Board held their Annual General Meeting at Dulkara. Looking back on the last 12 months it was a chance to thank the extended family of Inala for their resilience and strength. While still navigating issues around COVID-19 we have seen return of events such as our Golf Days and Trivia Nights which has brought a renewed energy to Inala. Support from our donors has continued with the Accommodation Appeal exceeding $5 million.

It is with great sadness we saw two long-term Inala Board Members step down from their positions. Kim Nicholas who first joined the board in 1996 and served as Treasurer from 1996 to 2005 and Chairman from 2005-2011. His contribution to Inala has been immense and we thank him for his more than 25 years of service.

Also stepping down was board member Kimberley Holden. She joined in 2013 and has been Chair of the People and Culture Committee. We thank her for her almost 10 years of service to Inala.

Finally, Chair Bill Best also stepped down after 11 years in the role, however, he will continue to serve on the Inala board as a general member. We thank Bill for his leadership through what has been some difficult years and thank him for his continued service to Inala. Sam Holden, who recently joined the board, has been voted in as the new Chair. Sam is looking forward to steering Inala towards continued success in the future.

The AGM was also an opportunity to present Bruce O’Toole from the West Pennant-Hills Cherrybrook Lions Club with their Community Award for 2022. For more than 50 years the Lions have been supporting Inala with donations and most importantly helping with the Inala Fair. We thank Bruce and his team of volunteers for their continue support and dedication to Inala.
