May 23, 2017

Thanks to loyal supporters and generous community involvement the Inala Golf Day was a great success and raised just over $41,000 to support individuals living with disability.

It was a perfect autumn day for the 23rd annual Inala Golf day held on Tuesday 23rd May. The 128 players in the 18 hole Ambrose competition enjoyed the warm weather and beautifully prepared course at the Castle Hill Country Club.

Inala has been providing a range of flexible, day and accommodation services for individuals living with disability for nearly 60 years and the Castle Hill Golf Day has been an important event in the calendar for over 23 of these years and this was no exception.

Many local businesses and community groups supported this year’s event including Mobile Fleet Services, AON, BSA, Faber-Castell, Galston & Community Bank, Good Neighbour Plumbing, H&N Khamis, Icon Homes, Louis Carr, Merit Homes, Nathan’s Smash Repairs, Peter Dawson & Associates, Senses Direct, West Pennant Hills Sports Club and Worldwide Online Printing Castle Hill.

Beecroft Rotary, who have a long association with Inala, were on hand to assist with registration and a range of on course competitions.

David Andrews, Vice-Captain at Castle Hill Country Club kicked off the fundraising activities at the presentation dinner by presenting a cheque from the Club for $2,000. Peter Dawson also presented a donation for $1,000 on behalf of the Rotary Club of Dural and Dural and Round Corner Chamber of Commerce.

A lively and entertaining auction followed let by Neil Keene, Principal at LJ Hooker Dural. Special thanks also to The Good Guys Castle Hill for donating a fabulous first prize in the raffle.

Inala is very grateful to all those in the community who continue to provide support to enable the provision of valuable services, including creative therapies to enrich the lives and sense of wellbeing for individuals living with disability.
