On behalf of the board I am delighted to advise that Alexandra Davis has accepted our offer to join Inala as our Chief Executive Officer commencing on July 4th 2022.
Alexandra’s most recent role was at Holy Family Services where she was appointed CEO and Company Secretary in January 2016. In this role she was responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of five services – Residential Aged Care, Disability Provider, Long Day Care and Preschool, Registered Training Organisation and a Retirement Village.
Prior to Holy Family Services, Alexandra worked as Head of Health, Ageing and Disability Services for almost 10 years at Paynter Dixon, a Design and Construction company, overseeing approximately $200m worth of health, aged care and disability projects. She also spent 4 years at SummitCare as General Manager overseeing eight Residential Aged Care Facilities in the areas of operational management, clinical compliance, funding, complaints, accreditation, education, WHS and human resources.
Alexandra has extensive experience in Quality Management Systems, and has written policies and procedures for Disability, Aged Care, ISO 9000, AS4801, RTO and Child Care. Alexandra has completed training in Six Sigma, ISO auditing, and Aged Care Quality Accreditation auditing.
Alexandra has written curriculum and taught both Undergraduate students for 12 years and Postgraduate students for 5 years in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and wound care. She has also worked for 4 years in sales and marketing for Smith and Nephew, an international wound care company.
Alexandra started her career as a Registered Nurse at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, then specialised in trauma nursing at Westmead Hospital Emergency Department.
She holds a Master of Business Administration, Master of Nursing and a Diploma of Applied Science (Nursing). She has also completed the Company Directors Course with the AICD. She is on the Board of The Cotswolds Retirement Village, the ACSA NSW/ACT Divisional Council (previously ACSA Board) and Chairs the ACSA Western Region Meeting.
I could go on but I think it is evident from the above that Alexandra has a formidable and highly relevant skill set for her new role with Inala. She is a motivated and experienced leader who has a passion for serving the community while working with mission focussed “for purpose” organisations such as ours.
Alexandra has asked me to pass on that she is excited by the opportunity to lead Inala and that she looks forward to having the opportunity to meet many members of the Inala community over the coming months.
