Recognising Outstanding Support and Commitment

Nov 23, 2019

Inala is all about community.

Each year at our AGM, we take the opportunity to recognise and acknowledge any individual, company or community group, in the wider community, who has significantly contributed to Inala and those it supports.

We were proud to present seven Inala Community Awards on Monday evening. The recipients of these awards have gone above and beyond in their support of, and contributions to Inala, and for this we sincerely thank them.

2019 Inala Life Membership Award Recipients

Edith and Peter Ormai have been long standing members of the Inala community since its founding in 1958. Edith’s son and Peter’s stepson, Andrew Bak was one of the original founding clients at Inala, and Andrew has continuously remained a key Inala personality up to and since his passing in May 2018. Edith and Peter have been active supporters of Inala for over 60 years, supporting external events and functions and being regular donors during this time. They have also personified Inala’s Ethos – the ethos of creating and nurturing true generous human connection and warm relationships. This was so evident in the dignity of their relationship with their son Andrew, and in their connections and interactions with all at Inala.
