Sun and success at Inala’s Golf Day at Castle Hill Golf Course!
Thanks to loyal supporters and generous community involvement the Inala Golf Day was a great success and raised a record breaking $52,500 to support individuals living with disability.
It was a perfect autumn day for the 23rd annual Inala Golf day held on Tuesday 8th May. The 148 players in the 18 hole Ambrose competition enjoyed the wonderful warm weather, perfect for golfing on Castle Hill Country Club’s beautifully prepared course.
In 2018 Inala is celebrating over 60 years of providing a range of flexible, day and accommodation services for individuals living with disability and the Castle Hill Golf Day has been an important event in the calendar for 23 of these years and this was no exception.
Many local businesses and community groups supported this year’s event including Jennmar, Louis Carr, Coonara Chemist, Merit Homes, BSA, Good Neighbour Plumbing, NASR, Worldwide Online Printing Castle Hill, Turrell, People One, Icon Homes, Galston & Community Bank, Concrete One, NAB, Nexia Australia, Nathan’s Smash Repairs, Peter Dawson & Associates, West Pennant Hills Sports Club, CIMS Ability, Rotary Club of Beecroft, H&N Khamis, Jord and Kings Timber and Hardware.
Dinner was enjoyed by 160 guests and featured a lively and entertaining auction led by Neil Keene, Principal at LJ Hooker Dural. Inala would like to extend a special thank you to the families and local businesses for your donation of the raffle prizes.
The funds raised from the Inala Golf Day will be directed towards the development of additional accommodation services and supports for the many individuals on our waiting list who are seeking a home. In the year of our 60th Anniversary we are striving to address this need and give more individuals living with disability the opportunity to create a life of their own, to live in a home of their own, and develop the life skills and confidence which flows from this.
