Thank you to Rose Bay Rotary

Sep 18, 2018

This morning Lucy Robson (President) and Barry Joseph (member) from Rose Bay Rotary visited Miroma to deliver three HP touchscreen computers (valued at $2500) that they have generously donated.

Lucy and Barry enjoyed a morning tea of Monte Carlo biscuits made in the cooking program and were keen to hear about the various activities we are currently involved in. They learned many new things about our service as they toured the building, meeting staff and participants.

‘It was great to meet some of the participants and see everyone busily preparing for the spring festival,’ said Lucy.

Susie Bernfield Community Liaison Officer at Miroma and Lucy Regan Communications & Engagement Manager recently spoke at Rose Bay Rotary where Susie explained how computers were used for learning.

Miroma have previously teamed up with Kambala students who act as computer buddies for their residents, while this year the buddies are from Kincoppal Rose Bay.

Rose Bay Rotary have had a longstanding connection with Miroma and Inala, having supported us for nearly fifty years.

We are grateful for their generous donation that will help our participants with dexterity issues draw on the screen.
