Inala is immensely grateful to Julian Leeser, Federal Member for Berowra, for his tireless advocacy on behalf of Inala.

The hall was brimming with Inala creations from Dulkara, Miroma, Wandana, Yallambee and Mingara. All the Fair favourites were back with the White Elephant and Book Stall along with our popular pre-loved Clothing Boutique. Beautiful spring blooms filled the Garden Stall and lots of happy winners at our hourly chocolate wheel spun by the local Lions club.
Our food stalls were extremely popular with our BBQ and Pizza Stalls selling out! We would like to thank Shadow Attorney General and Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians Julian Leeser who opened the Fair with son James. We were also joined by Hornsby Mayor Philip Ruddock and Councillor Sreeni Pillamarri who toured the Fair and met Inala CEO Alexandra Davis and Board Members Sam and Kimberly Holden.
2022 saw Wilma Riley celebrate her 50th Fair. This marks a significant milestone and we thank Wilma for all she has contributed to the Fair. Unfortunately, Wilma wasn’t well enough to attend on the day but her family stepped up to run the stall. Her daughter Margot and Libby were pleased to be on stage to accept her 50 year award from long-term Inala supporter, Minister for Finance and Employee Relations Damien Tudehope with Sam Holden and CEO Alexandra Davis.
The stage was filled with entertainment throughout the day from Special Olympics Dancers, Cherrybrook Primary and Cherrybrook Tech Big Bands and the wonderful Hills District Pipe Band. Our MC Peter Baldwin also did a fantastic job keeping the crowd informed.
Without the assistance of our amazing volunteers the Inala Fair would not be able to run and today we would like to acknowledge a very long list of wonderful people who helped make the Inala Fair possible.
West Pennant Hills Lions Club for your continued support running the Chocolate Wheel all day and sourcing prizes and donations for the day. Thank you to Bruce and his team for their long term support.
The McBride Family who yet again baked and ran our cake stall, which was very popular selling out mid-afternoon!
The Holden Family who came back again to donate plants and run our garden stall, one of the draw cards of our Fair.
Thank you to board Member Caroline Jones for her assistance on the children’s wear stand.
Students from Tangara who baked goods for our cake stall and joined students from Cherrybrook Tech volunteering on the day.
Our sustainable fashion queens Coleen, Cleo, Lori and Camilla along with their team of helpers who ran a very busy clothing boutique.
Thanks to Roger McFetridge and Tim Bushell for their help setting up and running of the pre-loved book stall.
Thanks to Judy along with Florence and Rex Chandler for spearheading the White Elephant stalls.
We would like to acknowledge the Hornsby SES who for many years have attended and supported our Fair.
Inala Staff member Wiki along with her daughter and team of volunteers helped feed hungry Fair goers with delicious scones and cakes at the café.
Who tried the pizza? Thank you to Kevin and Simone, Mario’s son and daughter-in-law for rolling up their sleeves to make delicious pizza!
We would also like to acknowledge local businesses George’s Fine Meats, Zest Kellyville, Martelli’s and Bakers Delight at Cherrybrook all who made donations towards the day.
Our trusty photographer Richard Kerslake was also on hand to capture the day.
We would also like to acknowledge the Inala Staff and their families who were here all weekend, our events and maintenance team, while Finance spent all day counting. Our Executive team ran the BBQ while the Day Service teams ran their very popular stalls with some selling out!
